Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the consumer Xcelo app and Xcelo Studio where they process personal data. Read with How Xcelo Works and Terms & Conditions.

2. Summary

• Video platform: Home (Entertainment), Education, Shop based on upload tags.
• We process account, profile, technical, usage, playback/session, and engagement statistics (demo ads for Results; completed watches by category/topic for Topics). §4 covers why numbers appear, user benefits (summary/comparison only), and limits (no cash/gifts). Leaderboards may look "game-like" but are counts only.
• Those statistics are not money, not gifts, not cash-out balances.
• We do not sell personal information.
• Consumer app intended for users 13+ (Teen / 13+ style listing and content rating); not marketed to under-13 as primary audience — see §11.

3. Data we collect

Account: email, phone, or OAuth identifiers; internal user ID.

Profile: name, photo, optional fields.

Technical: device, OS, app version, IP, region (security), diagnostics.

Usage & playback: videos opened, progress, anti-skip/session data for fair crediting.

Engagement stats: demo ad completions (drives Results / ads-style rank); per-topic completed video counts (drives Topics / category rank) — see §4 for why these numbers show; no redeemable value.

Studio: upload metadata, tags, analytics rows (e.g. watch/ad aggregates) for operations.

4. Results, Topics, and ranks

User benefit of rankings (no payment): Users see a summary of completed demo ads and completed videos per topic; optional comparison with others on the same list; and where they watch most — information and community context only. Rankings do not pay users, do not unlock cash/UPI/vouchers/gifts from Xcelo, and do not guarantee prizes.

Ads rank (Results) — why numbers appear: The count is how many demo promo clips you completed (watched to the end per our rules). Rank / list order is only how that total compares with other users — a scoreboard-style view, not money, not gifts, not a prize draw.

Topic / video rank (Topics) — why numbers appear: The count is how many videos you fully finished in that Education or Shop topic (or Entertainment/Home bucket), based on upload tags. Rank compares your count with others on the same topic — for transparency and comparison only; not a cash balance or withdrawal.

Shop feed: shop-tagged videos; watching or ranking does not by itself create a purchase; external checkout (if any) is separate unless we clearly label a specific offer.

5. How we use data

Provide service (auth, feeds, playback, Results, Topics, profile); security and fraud prevention; improvement; service communications; legal compliance and terms enforcement.

6. Legal bases (EEA/UK-style laws)

Contract, legitimate interests (security, improvement), and consent where required.

7. Sharing

Processors (hosting, email, etc.) under contract; legal disclosures; no sale to brokers.

8. Retention

As long as needed for purposes above and legal requirements; then delete or anonymise where possible.

9. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, export, or objection where applicable — via Contact Us.

10. Security

Reasonable measures; users should use strong passwords and report compromise.

11. Age, children, audience

Audience: Consumer app aimed at users at least 13, matching store content rating (e.g. Teen / 13+) and target age groups (typically 13–15, 16–17, 18+ on Google Play). Not targeted at under-13 as primary audience when rating requires it.

Children: Not directed below consent age; parents: Contact Us if a child’s data was collected without proper consent.

Processing in India and possibly abroad with appropriate safeguards.
